Toyota has officially revealed the first images of its updated Le Mans prototype, the GR010 Evolution, which will enter the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2026. The Japanese manufacturer, which once dominated endurance racing, is determined to reclaim its lost crown after Ferrari’s spectacular return to Le Mans shifted the balance of power.
Focus on Aerodynamics and Efficiency
Although the technical regulations of the Hypercar class limit radical innovations, Toyota has chosen to refine every detail of its GR010. The 2026 version focuses on aerodynamic optimization, ensuring maximum downforce and efficiency while staying within the rules.
From the preview images, enthusiasts can notice sharper contours of the rear wing and front splitter, as well as a revised lighting setup reminiscent of Toyota’s road-going sports models.
