Dreame Nebula Next 01X Hyper Crossover with 1900 HP Revealed
Chinese technology company Dreame Technology, widely known for its robotic vacuum cleaners and smart household devices, has unexpectedly entered the automotive arena. The brand unveiled an ambitious electric vehicle prototype called Dreame Nebula Next 01X at a major consumer electronics exhibition in China.
The concept signals Dreame’s intention to compete in the rapidly growing market for high performance electric vehicles. According to the company, the Nebula Next 01X could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2 seconds, putting it in the same league as the fastest hypercars in the world.
Although still a concept, the project demonstrates the growing trend of Chinese technology companies expanding beyond consumer electronics into advanced mobility solutions.

Design inspired by hypercars
The Nebula Next 01X shares its visual identity with the earlier Dreame Nebula Next 01, introduced earlier in the year. However, the new model adopts a five door body with slightly increased ground clearance.
Despite being described as a crossover, the proportions resemble a high performance shooting brake more than a traditional SUV. Observers have compared its silhouette to exotic vehicles such as the Ferrari Purosangue.
The exterior design emphasizes aerodynamics and aggressive styling:
- full carbon fiber aerodynamic body kit
- ultra thin LED lighting signatures
- sculpted air channels and diffusers
- massive 23 inch performance wheels
These elements are designed not only for visual impact but also to improve cooling and aerodynamic efficiency at high speeds.
Technical specifications and performance
The most impressive claims relate to the vehicle’s drivetrain and battery technology.
Powertrain
Dreame engineers are reportedly developing a fully electric system with four independent electric motors, one for each wheel.
Estimated specifications include:
Power output: over 1900 horsepower
Acceleration: 0–100 km/h in less than 2 seconds
Drivetrain: quad motor all wheel drive
Battery type: solid state battery technology
If these figures prove accurate in production form, the Nebula Next 01X could rival electric hypercars such as the Rimac Nevera in raw acceleration.

Battery and range
One of the most interesting elements of the project is the use of solid state battery technology, which promises higher energy density, improved safety, and faster charging compared with conventional lithium ion batteries.
Dreame claims that the production model could achieve:
Electric range: up to 550 km
Faster charging cycles thanks to solid state cells
Lower battery degradation over time
The company has also suggested that a hybrid configuration might appear in early production versions, combining a battery pack with additional power sources.
Intelligent systems
The Nebula Next 01X is also designed as a highly computerized vehicle.
Key technologies include:
AI computing chip: up to 2000 TOPS processing power
advanced driver assistance systems
semi autonomous driving capability
predictive suspension control
A high performance active suspension system is also being developed to improve stability and handling while reducing energy consumption.

Dreame’s ambitious automotive strategy
The Nebula lineup is part of Dreame’s broader automotive program called Starry Sky, which aims to establish a new Chinese EV brand within the next few years.
Key elements of the strategy include:
building a fully independent EV supply chain
launching 300 dedicated dealerships within three years
leveraging Dreame’s existing 6500 global retail stores
Beyond the Nebula passenger cars, the company is also planning a separate off road lineup under the Star Motor name, which is expected to include three rugged SUV models.
When could the car reach production?
The Nebula Next 01X remains a prototype, and Dreame has confirmed that serial production will not begin before 2027.
However, the concept reflects a broader trend: Chinese technology companies are increasingly entering the automotive sector, bringing expertise in batteries, artificial intelligence, and consumer electronics.
If Dreame successfully delivers on its ambitious claims, the Nebula Next 01X could become one of the most extreme electric crossovers ever built.
