Chery Reveals Specifications of the Large iCar V27 Crossover with 1200 km Total Range
Chery has officially confirmed key specifications of the new iCar V27, the biggest crossover in the iCar model range. Pre orders have already opened in China, while demonstration vehicles are expected to arrive at local dealerships in January. Although official pricing has not yet been announced, Chery has disclosed detailed information about dimensions, powertrain options, driving range, and onboard technology. The iCar V27 is designed as a global model and will be offered in multiple international markets under the export brand name iCAUR.

Size, proportions and cargo capacity
The Chery iCar V27 clearly targets the large SUV segment. Its body length reaches 4909 mm, extending to 5050 mm when the externally mounted spare wheel is included. The wheelbase measures 2910 mm, providing generous interior space for passengers and a strong emphasis on practicality.
The luggage compartment is one of the highlights of the model. With the second row of seats in place, cargo volume is rated at 715 liters. Folding the rear seats expands usable space up to 1818 liters, which makes the V27 suitable for long journeys, family use, and active lifestyles. At launch, the crossover will be offered exclusively in a two row layout, prioritizing comfort and storage rather than maximum seating capacity.
Exterior colors include conservative silver and black, as well as brighter yellow, blue, and beige options aimed at customers looking for a more expressive design.

Extended range hybrid powertrains
The iCar V27 is built around an extended range hybrid architecture. Both available versions are based on the same 1.5 liter gasoline engine producing 143 horsepower, which mainly serves as a generator to support the electric drivetrain.
The rear wheel drive variant is equipped with a single electric motor and delivers a combined system output of 252 horsepower. This configuration focuses on efficiency and everyday usability. The flagship all wheel drive version uses three electric motors and boosts total output to 455 horsepower, placing the V27 among the most powerful electrified SUVs in its class.
In fully electric mode, the crossover can travel up to 210 kilometers, allowing most daily trips to be completed without engaging the internal combustion engine. With the gasoline engine active, total driving range reaches up to 1200 kilometers, making the iCar V27 well suited for long distance travel without reliance on frequent charging stops.

Interior technology and comfort features
Inside, the Chery iCar V27 combines a modern digital environment with traditional controls for improved ergonomics. The centerpiece of the cabin is a large 15.4 inch infotainment display that manages navigation, media, and vehicle settings. Despite the dominant screen, Chery has retained a number of physical buttons, which improves usability while driving.
Audio is handled by a premium sound system with 23 speakers, positioning the V27 above many competitors in terms of in cabin entertainment. Another distinctive feature is the panoramic roof design, which uses two longitudinal glass panels instead of a single large pane, adding a unique visual element and enhancing natural light inside the cabin.

Driver assistance and intelligent systems
The iCar V27 is equipped with the advanced Falcon 700 driver assistance package. The system uses 27 sensors, including a lidar unit, which remains relatively uncommon in this segment. Processing power comes from the Horizon Robotics J6P chipset rated at 560 TOPS, enabling advanced semi autonomous driving functions, adaptive cruise control, lane centering, and future over the air software updates.
This level of hardware indicates that Chery is positioning the V27 as a technology focused crossover capable of evolving throughout its lifecycle via software enhancements.
Global iCAUR brand strategy
For international markets, Chery will sell the iCar V27 under the iCAUR brand. This export oriented marque was first introduced at an international presentation in Dubai, underlining the company’s ambitions beyond the domestic Chinese market. iCAUR models are planned for sale across the Middle East and parts of Europe, where demand for extended range hybrids and technologically advanced SUVs continues to grow.
The V27’s combination of electric driving for urban use and long total range for highway travel makes it particularly attractive in regions with mixed charging infrastructure and long distance driving conditions.
