Ferrari Reveals the Interior of Its First Electric Supercar Luce

Ferrari has officially unveiled the interior of its first fully electric model, a car called Luce, which translates from Italian as light. This moment marks a major milestone for the legendary manufacturer from Maranello. For decades Ferrari has been defined by sound, vibration, and mechanical drama. With Luce, the brand enters the electric era without abandoning its identity, choosing instead to reinterpret it through design, materials, and technology.

While the exterior of the car has not yet been fully revealed, the interior alone shows how seriously Ferrari is taking this transition. Luce is not designed to imitate existing electric cars. It is designed to feel like a Ferrari first, and an electric vehicle second.

A Collaboration with the Former Apple Design Chief

One of the most talked about aspects of the Ferrari Luce interior is who designed it. The cabin was created by LoveFrom, the design studio founded by Jony Ive, the former chief designer behind many iconic Apple products. This influence is immediately visible in the clarity of the layout, the focus on materials, and the balance between technology and emotion.

The interior follows a minimalist approach, but it is far from sterile. Every surface feels intentional. Glass, leather, and anodized aluminum dominate the cabin, creating a space that feels both futuristic and warm. Ferrari has managed to combine advanced digital interfaces with subtle emotional cues that reference its past.

Digital Technology with Analog Inspiration

At first glance, many elements of the Luce interior appear analog. Toggle switches, round gauges, and classic layouts evoke Ferrari models from the nineteen eighties, including the iconic 308 GTB. In reality, all of these elements are digital displays.

Ferrari uses high resolution screens developed by Samsung, covered with chemically strengthened Gorilla Glass from Corning. These displays simulate traditional instruments while offering the flexibility and precision of modern digital systems. According to Ferrari, more than forty individual glass components are used throughout the cabin, including screens, buttons, and touch surfaces.

A Rotating Center Console and Unique Details

The centerpiece of the interior is the floating center console. Mounted on a hinge, it can rotate toward the driver or the front passenger. This design encourages interaction and creates a shared experience inside the cabin.

The console houses a large display showing vehicle information such as battery charge, electric motor output, and energy usage. Below it are digital controls for climate settings and seat ventilation, designed to feel tactile despite their glass surfaces.

One of the most unusual details sits in the upper corner of the console. A set of smart watches with classic analog dials. These watches can switch between different modes, including a stopwatch and a compass. It is a small detail, but one that reinforces Ferrari philosophy of blending heritage with innovation.

Steering Wheel and Driver Focus

The steering wheel of the Ferrari Luce continues this theme. It features a compact circular center and thin metal spokes, inspired by classic Ferrari race cars. Physical buttons and rotary controls are placed beneath the spokes, allowing the driver to adjust settings without taking their eyes off the road.

On the left side, controls manage cruise control and electric driving modes, including Range, Tour, and Perfo. On the right side sits the famous Ferrari Manettino switch, offering modes for Ice, Wet, Dry, Sport, and CST Off. Suspension presets and windshield wiper controls are also integrated here.

Behind the steering wheel is a rectangular instrument panel with round digital gauges that replicate the look of analog tachometers, speedometers, and g force meters.

Glass Key, Magnetic Mount, and Four Seat Layout

The center tunnel is clean and restrained, featuring cup holders, window switches, and a compact transmission selector. Next to it is a dedicated platform for the vehicle key, which is one of the most distinctive elements of the interior.

The key itself is made of glass and features an illuminated Ferrari logo. When placed on its platform, the yellow glow fades and a matching yellow light appears on the transmission selector. The key also uses magnetic alignment technology similar to that found in modern smartphones, ensuring it stays firmly in place while driving.

At the rear of the center tunnel, Ferrari has added air vents and a secondary control panel with a display for rear passengers. This confirms that the Ferrari Luce will be a four seat vehicle, expanding Ferrari appeal beyond traditional two seat sports cars.

Electric Performance Without Compromise

Ferrari previously revealed key technical details about Luce. The car will use four electric motors producing more than one thousand horsepower in boost mode. Despite a curb weight of approximately two point three tons, Luce is expected to accelerate from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour in just two point five seconds, with a top speed of three hundred ten kilometers per hour.

Power comes from a battery with a capacity of one hundred twenty two kilowatt hours, providing a driving range of up to five hundred thirty kilometers. Rear wheel steering will enhance agility at low speeds and stability during high speed driving.

A New Direction for Ferrari Design

Although Ferrari has not yet revealed the full exterior, prototype vehicles spotted on public roads suggest an unexpected silhouette. The rear proportions hint at a shooting brake style, drawing comparisons to the legendary Ferrari two hundred fifty GT Breadvan from the nineteen sixties.

Ferrari has confirmed that the interior design philosophy introduced with Luce will influence future models across the brand. This makes Luce more than just Ferrari first electric car. It is a preview of how Ferrari sees its future.

For luxury car enthusiasts and premium car renters in destinations like the United Arab Emirates, Ferrari Luce represents a new kind of desirability. Silent, powerful, technologically advanced, yet still emotional and unmistakably Ferrari.
